Characteristics
1. Designed for Cold-Climate Residential HeatingLanzhou is located in Northwest China, where winter heating is an essential part of residential building design.
For apartment communities in this climate,
hydronic underfloor heating provides a concealed radiant heating solution that distributes warmth through the floor surface and supports a comfortable indoor environment during the heating season.
2. Centralized Hydronic Heating DistributionMENRED
Yi.N Series Heating Manifolds form the central distribution point of the floor heating system.
Heating water enters the manifold and is distributed into individual underfloor heating circuits serving different indoor areas. This centralized arrangement creates an organized hydraulic distribution structure for multi-room residential apartments.
3. Room Temperature Control with RT1 ThermostatsThe
RT1 LCD Heating Thermostat provides residents with a convenient room-side interface for managing heating temperature.
By combining room temperature control with the hydronic distribution system, the heating solution allows indoor comfort to be managed according to the requirements of different living spaces rather than operating the entire residence as a single uncontrolled heating zone.
4. Heating Distribution and Control Working TogetherA residential underfloor heating system requires more than the delivery of heated water.
The Yi.N heating manifold manages the hydraulic distribution side of the system, while the RT1 thermostat provides room-side temperature control.
Together, they create a more complete residential heating architecture:
Heat Supply → Heating Manifold → Floor Heating Circuits → Room Temperature ControlThis combination provides the foundation for an organized and controllable
radiant floor heating system.
5. Suitable for Multi-Room Apartment LayoutsLanzhou 24 City includes modern three- and four-bedroom apartment layouts, creating multiple indoor spaces with different heating requirements.
In this type of residential layout, individual floor heating circuits can serve bedrooms, living rooms and other functional areas, while centralized distribution and room temperature control make the overall heating system easier to operate and manage.
6. Concealed Heating for Modern Residential InteriorsHydronic radiant heating pipes are installed beneath the finished floor, leaving the main heating terminals largely hidden from the occupied space.
This allows the
underfloor heating system to provide winter heating without introducing large visible heating equipment into the room, helping preserve clean and flexible contemporary interior design.
More about the project
Lanzhou 24 City is a large residential development located in the Yantan area of Lanzhou, Gansu Province. The community consists primarily of high-rise residential buildings with multi-room apartment layouts designed for modern urban families.
Unlike residential projects in milder regions of China, Lanzhou's cold winter climate makes heating a fundamental component of indoor comfort. A residential heating system must therefore provide not only sufficient heat, but also effective distribution and convenient temperature management across different rooms.
For underfloor heating applications within the project, MENRED
Yi.N Series Heating Manifolds and
RT1 LCD Heating Thermostats form two key parts of the hydronic heating system.
The Yi.N manifold serves as the central hydraulic distribution point, dividing heating water into multiple circuits installed beneath different areas of the residence. Heat is then transferred upward through the floor surface to create a comfortable
radiant heating environment.
At room level, the RT1 LCD thermostat allows residents to manage their desired heating temperature through a clear indoor control interface. Integrating temperature control with hydronic distribution creates a more complete
smart underfloor heating system for modern apartments.
This project demonstrates how MENRED heating distribution and temperature-control products can work together in a large residential development, providing a practical heating solution for cold-climate cities in Northwest China.
