Radiant cooling is a method of removing sensible heat from a space through cooled surfaces such as ceilings, walls or floors.

A water-cooled radiant panel is one type of radiant cooling terminal. It circulates chilled water through integrated pipes or heat-transfer components to cool the panel surface.

The term "radiant air conditioning" is sometimes used more broadly to describe an indoor climate system that combines radiant heating or cooling with ventilation and humidity control.

For this reason, radiant cooling should not be considered a complete indoor climate system by itself. In well-designed applications, it is typically integrated with ventilation, dehumidification, heat pumps and intelligent controls.
