The P5 is designed for concealed ceiling installation. It works with ducted supply and return layouts in villas, apartments, and energy-efficient homes. It also fits straight into MENRED WUHENG Climate System projects, where it runs alongside radiant heating and cooling, buffer tanks, and AI pump stations.
One P5 covers a whole house. Rated airflow is 350 m³/h. Open it up and the unit reaches 450 m³/h. Net fresh air volume is 340 m³/h. That puts the net fresh air ratio at 97%: 97 parts in every 100 the P5 delivers are genuine outdoor air, and only 3 carry over from the exhaust side.
External static pressure is 80 Pa on the supply side and 50 Pa on the exhaust side. Both are adjustable from the controller. That matters on long duct runs, and it matters when a site adds bends the original drawing never showed. The installer tunes the machine to the building, not the other way round.
At the heart of the P5 sits a Dow enthalpy membrane heat exchange core. Enthalpy covers heat and moisture together, not heat alone. Measured to GB/T 21087-2020, the core reaches 77% enthalpy exchange efficiency in heating and 69% in cooling. Your heat pump carries less load. Your rooms hold their setpoint more easily.
The core is washable and never needs replacing. It resists damp. It resists frost. Mould-resistance testing returned Grade 0, which means no visible growth. Rinse it, dry it, slide it back.
Two ebm-papst DC inverter fans drive the P5. They are efficient, and they are quiet. Measured noise is 38 dB(A), below a typical household refrigerator. Specific fan power is 0.38 W/(m³/h), so rated running power sits at only 135 W.
Bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, libraries. The P5 keeps working through the night and nobody notices it.
Incoming air passes three barriers before it reaches a room.
• Washable mesh screen: stops insects, pollen fluff, and leaves. Rinse it once a month.
• G4 coarse filter: captures particles above PM10. Replace every 6 months.
• H11 filter: traps PM2.5. High dust-holding capacity, low airflow resistance. Replace every 6 months.
Overall filtration efficiency is 97% (test conditions per manufacturer data). The filter set is model F1131. The G4 element measures 450 × 134 × 22 mm; the H11 element measures 450 × 185 × 45 mm.
The P5 is 230 mm deep. It disappears above a suspended ceiling. Put it in a corridor, a utility area, or a bathroom void. Overall size is 1125 × 720 × 230 mm and the unit weighs 36 kg. Duct connections are φ160 mm, and there are four of them: outdoor intake, indoor supply, indoor return, outdoor exhaust.
Six engineering choices decide how quiet the P5 is, how much energy it saves, and how easy it is to service.
• ebm-papst DC Inverter Fans: variable speed control, strong static pressure, and a low power draw.
• Dow Enthalpy Membrane Core: recovers heat and moisture in both directions. Washable, replacement-free, and Grade 0 in mould-resistance testing.
• Three-Stage Filter Train: mesh, G4, and H11 in series, for 97% filtration efficiency under manufacturer test conditions.
• Adjustable External Static Pressure: 80 Pa supply and 50 Pa exhaust, both trimmable from the controller to suit the duct design.
• Low Specific Fan Power: 0.38 W/(m³/h), which keeps rated consumption at 135 W for 350 m³/h of fresh air.
• Front-Access Service Panel: filters, core, fans, and control board all reach through a single 820 × 450 mm opening.
Two controllers are available. Both are sold separately.
CLS4.0E is a colour screen controller. It offers five modes (Eco, Sleep, Haze, Auto, and Boost), three fan speeds, and 24-hour scheduling. Auto mode needs the optional RS485 air-quality sensor. Connect one and the controller adjusts fan speed to live PM2.5 and CO₂ readings. Default thresholds are PM2.5 above 100 for high and above 35 for medium; CO₂ above 1500 for high and above 700 for medium. Users can reset both. Filter life runs on screen with a default 6-month cycle, and the screen warns you once life drops below 10%.
RT1.2 is the compact option. It fits a standard 86 mm back box, draws under 1.5 W, carries built-in Wi-Fi, and supports four scheduling patterns: 7×24, 1×24, 5+2, and 6+1. Protection rating is IP20. Ambient range is -10 °C to 55 °C.
Both controllers link to the smartphone app through RS485 and Wi-Fi. That gives remote control, live status, and over-the-air firmware updates.
Hang the P5 from threaded rods inside a removable suspended ceiling. Leave an 820 × 450 mm service opening on the door-panel side so the filters slide straight out. Wiring is fixed, so the circuit needs an all-pole switch with at least 3 mm contact separation, plus reliable earthing. Where the unit sits high, keep the fan blades at least 2.3 m above the floor.
Maintenance is short work. Open the door panel, pull the filters along their rails, drop the new ones in, close up. Mesh once a month. G4 and H11 every six months. One full inspection every six months keeps the unit performing the way it did on day one.
