Radiant cooling can provide substantial sensible cooling capacity, but the required capacity depends on the panel design, active surface area, water temperature, room conditions, building envelope and internal heat load.

A radiant cooling system should therefore be designed according to the building's actual sensible and latent cooling loads rather than using a fixed capacity assumption.

For projects with higher cooling loads, radiant panels can be combined with other climate-control technologies, such as ventilation, dehumidification and heat pumps.
